i wasn't scheduled to work on monday, and coincidentally mummy took leave too.. so she decided to follow me to ICA at lavender to extend my passport's expiry date.

after that.. mummy wanted to go raffles place to check out something.. then mummy had to go to SRC to submit the transfer membership form, so we decided to take a walk down to SRC. =D

i wanted to buy the nice tang yuan soup at golden shoe carpark first!! but then we couldn't find the stall! i think it closed down.. so upset 'cos i don't know where else to find that soup already =( it's really very yummy!! =D

so anyway mummy decided to get coffee, and so i got teh ping (iced milo)! =D it was very funny, 'cos as the uncle was making my tea, he put in alot alot of condensed milk.. and my mummy was really shocked. 'cos she's quite a health-conscious person. hahahah! so she was like, "aiyo!! so much!! so sweet!!" hahahah! then i was just laughing, and telling her never mind, 'cos i like sweet sweet teh ping! i really don't like those that are like bitter lor. hahahah!

then we walked along the singapore river, and decided to go into fullerton hotel to take a look! and to use their toilet. hahaha! so happy! 'cos it was my first time walking through those turning doors! felt as though i was in london or something. hahaha! but quite scary.. 'cos it was automatic.. and mummy and i squeezed into one slot.. hahaha! then it moved quite fast. hahahah! but so nice! =D

we took a picture in the toilet. hahaha! they had those glass bowl basins. but it's rather common nowadays lah. =D

then at the parliament house, we saw this memorial that i've never seen before! even mummy has never seen it before.. if i'm not wrong it's a memorial for the british i think.. yeah.

mummy and i took a picture each of the nice nice lamp post! very english. =D but i look so rigid. hahaha!

then after that we walked along padang.. and we saw another memorial!! hahah i've never seen it before either.. hahaha! but it was in quite a secluded area near marina.. anyway this memorial was for the guy, can't remember, who initiated the water system in singapore or something like that lah.. hahaha!

yay! had a good walk in the city hall raffles place area with mummy that day.. discovered so many memorials. hahaa! and i saw nice nice nice bag from nine west! and very very nice nice nice long-sleeved shirt and nice nice winter coat from Esprit!!! but all expensive. hahahah!

anyway all these photos were taken by my handphone camera.. very good hor? hahaha! aiya, but i still want my k800i.. heh =D soon soon!!! =D =D i think the quality will be EVEN better lor.. =D

mummy, da yi, jiejie and i went to this restaurant at the new basement at Raffles City Shopping Centre called Kuriya.

the food was not bad! =D but i didn't really like the lighting.. dark dark one.. don't like it when i can't see my food.. hahahah! so i don't know if i will like it if one day my husband brings me to eat a candlelight dinner. hahahah!

quite cool right? they shine a beam of light at the centre of the table. =D

last sunday jie jie and i decided to go have ichiban japanese food 'cos we were so hungry after service.. hahaha.. we had sushi.. and jiejie recommended the yakiniku beef hot plate too! and it was LOVELY. hahahahah! really good stuff. =D you must go there and try! =d and their sushi is very nice too. got standard one.. =D

we were too hungry so we gobbled up everything before we took a picture.. hahaha!

and we ate till we were merry... =D

pahm and i decided to go to Marche to eat.. haven't ate there in months!! maybe even a year.. hahaha!

calamari (shouldn't have ordered this! but i was greedy), rosti (very yummy! =D), ham and cheese crepe (alright lah.. but it wasn't hot anymore =( )

pahm wasn't satisfied, so she went to buy:
mushroom soup (yummy! =D), mashed potato with spicy black pepper sauce (super yummy!!=D)

yay! =D yummy dinner! but we should have left out the crepe and calamari. then would have saved a lot of money. hahaha! especially the calamari lah! nine something.. hahaha

then we went to eat ben and jerrys! and sat in the peugeot cars there were at the roadshow. hee. so shiok. you know i think i keep thinking about driving until i have had quite a few dreams about me driving? hahah! can't wait!! =D

something funny happened though, pahm was happily eating her new york chocolate fudge on a cone, then as we were about to step onto the esclator, we suddenly heard a loud thud. hahahahah!!! come to think of it, it was really hilarious. hahaha! turns out that pahm's scoop of yummy icecream sat too lossely on the cone, and she licked too hard (too hungry. hahahah!), so it fell. poor thing lah her.. hahaha! but i was nice to offer her my chocolate chip cookie dough icecream!! hahahah! =D but i think chunky monkey is the nicest flavour from benandjerrys. =D

then after that we just shopped a little. then as we were leaving suntec city, we walked past the information counter. and then the malay lady behind the counter suddenly shouted, "excuse me! excuse me!".. then pahm and i were like, "huh what??", is she trying to get the attention of someone? maybe someone forgot to take something? then we kept shouting "excuse me excuse me!".. and we were really puzzled. then she shouted, "the shelter! the shelter!", then we were like, "huh? what shelter??".. then pahm looked up and realised that the metal gate (shelter) was coming down from the ceiling.. 'cos to close the whole passage way.. so if the people didn't notice, they'll kena knocked by the descending shelter..

there were alot of people walking past that passage way.. so pahm and i were trying to get the people's attention to keep away from the descending shelter, either that or to faster run through! and alot of people were running through, so they won't get trapped. then very scary. when the shelter was like 50 metres from the ground, this ang moh guy managed to run through. then soon after his other ang moh friend, just rolled on the ground, through the narrow narrow gap.

damn scary lah.. hahah! but so glad he made it. but it was so scary!! can you imagine if he got caught between the descending shelter and the ground. and plus the shelter is really heavy. so i think he most probably would have gotten hurt.. brave man. hahahah!

anyway, so what happened was that the fire alarm was activated. there was an announcement. and pahm and i looked out and we saw that there was a fire engine. then we thought, maybe it's a fire from marche, and thanked God that we left before this thing happened.

so we decided to just cross the overhead bridge, through citilink and to the mrt station. so when we were on the bridge, we looked back to see the whole comotion. quite cool, 'cos we saw firemen with torchlights, going down to the new underground passageway just outside suntec.. like adventure. then it suddenly reminded me of 9-11. so scary. and there was quite alot of smoke..

we then realised that the smoke was coming out from the construction area of the new underground passageways. so we didn't to avoid walking through citilink, and just walk outside..

so when we were a distance away, we decided to take a picture.. can you see the smoke? not very clear lah.. it's in the centre of the picture.

1. Being in love. i suppose this is li shuo dang ran...

2. Laughing so hard your face hurts. hahahah oh man, i totally know how this feels. not only face hurts, but the stomach too. hhahaha! kes, cheryl, chris, pei qi, remember all those times during mr. peh's lessons? kes, bee, really the time during assembly in MG? octogonites, i guess we can all relate to this too. hahahah! =D painful, but defintely very enjoyable. hahaha!

3. A hot shower. yeah! especially during cold weather.

4. No queues at the supermarket. hmmm.. ok i guess, so that i dont' have to queue up. but yeah, i'm quite impatient sometimes, so i guess this is good. =D

5. Taking a drive on a pretty road. yes!!! DRIVE. =D

6. Hearing your favourite song on the radio. yupyup! it does feel good =D

7. Lying in bed listening to the rain outside. yeaahhh.. then can hug my bolsters and mr. softee.. nice and comfy and cosy. =D

8. Hot towels fresh out of the dryer. hmm.. not sure leh.. don't dry my towels in the dryer. maybe when i go to aus i'll experience this. hahaha! but yeah, those hot towels that the restaurants/airplanes give are very nice and warm =D especially when our hands our cold =D

9. Chocolate milkshake ... (or vanilla ... or strawberry!) food!! how to not be happy? hahahah! =D

10. A bubble bath. hmm.. only took bubble baths when i was very young. so i can't remember at all. hahahah! but i suppose it'll be fun! with all the bubbles and foam. we can be kids again! =D

11. Giggling. as far as i know, i don't giggle. hahaha! don't recall giggling before. hahaah!

12. A good conversation. yes! i love good conversations. =D makes me feel as though my brain is thinking again. hahaha! but of course, there are those brainless-good conversations too. hahahah! which we all love.

13. Finding a £20 note in your coat from last winter. oh! this really did happen to me before! very very good feeling. hahahah!

14. Running through sprinklers. haven't tried this before leh. but reminds me of the fountain just outside seiya at parco bugis junction. seeing all the children get drenched and running in and out of the fountain. sure looks fun! =D but maybe this is equivalent to water bombs too? hahaha!

15. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all. hahahahahahahha!! got reason one... it's not that we're mad, but sometimes we think of something funny then laugh lor! =D

16. Having someone tell you that you're beautiful. hahahah! of course that feels good!

17. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you. nice nice! =D that surely beats accidentally overhearing someone say something bad about you. hahaha =D

18. Waking up and realising you still have a few hours left to sleep. ohhhhh... niceee.. hahahah! more sleeeep! more dreaming! =D

19. Making new friends or spending time with old ones. yupyup! i love my friends! =D but making new friends.. hmm.. i love to make nice-new friends.. but not unpleasant-new friends. hahahaha!

20. Having someone play with your hair. huh.. i don't really think i would like that. hahahaha! unless maybe some kid or my future husband? i also dont' know.. hahaha!

21. Sweet dreams. yupyup! although most of time i get damn weird dreams. but they are still very interesting and exciting.. so i don't mind them =D

22. Making eye contact with a cute stranger. hee hee.. (oh no! does that count as giggling? hahahahah!)

23. Holding hands with someone you care about. hmm.. i'm not a very touchy person.. so i don't know.. yeah.. =D but maybe this will be different with my future husband lah. and children. =D

24. Running into an old friend and realising that some things (good or bad) never change. yupyup! it feels very good to catch-up with old friends =D and you two can still talk as per last time.. =D

25. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much-desired present from you. yupyup. they better like the present!!!! hahahaha! =D

26. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day. praise Jesus! =D

27. Knowing that somebody misses you. yeah, of course that's a good feeling. =D 'cos i very often miss people too =D

28. Getting a hug from someone you care about deeply. i'm not a very touchy person leh.. hahaha!

29. Knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think. yeah.. =D

it's so upsetting to see the documentaries on the 9-11 event.

it's so.. unbelievable..

and all the firefighters are really HEROS. people were desperately trying to run down the stairs to leave the building, but they were running UP, to save people. such bravery.

even those who stayed behind to encourage others who have just lost all hope and all will to live. they were strangers. complete strangers. such selflessness. such bravery.

hee hee.. testimony time! =D

one:

met up with weili yesterday in school to go for a swim.. we were
suppose to meet at 1130hrs but then weili was late 'cos the bus took
so long to come. so when she arrived, we went to the swimming pool
to look look.. but then there were too many people, so we decided
not to swim but to go eat instead. hahahah!

so after we bathed, we decided to walk to science fac to eat.. since
we didn't swim so we should try to exercise as much as we can right?
hahaha! so we were walking along the 2-way road along the pavement
towards science.. then there was a zebra-crossing along the way, and
we decided to cross it. there was 95 stopped at the busstop across
the road, and there were very few cars on the road. so weili was
sort of saying, cross now, and she nudged me alittle. so i assumed
she was nudging me to cross the road at the zebra-crossing.

so i just side-stepped, got one foot on the road, and another on the
road. but before i could take another step to dash across the road,
i heard this loooouuuuuddddd HORN from behind me. when i turned
around, i saw this taxi screech to a stop inches away from me.

freaky fries. super freaky fries. then weili just pulled me back
onto the pavement. then we were fussing about what happened, as the
taxi driver waved his hand at me ("what are you doing??!!") and
drove away. soon weili and i recovered from our shock and we crossed
the zebra-crossing safely.

so as we were on the other side of the road, walking towards the
science canteen, we were trying to replay the whole incident in our
heads again. i explained to her, maybe my head was thinking, "since
this road is just a 2-way road, and the road is so narrow, and the
bus is stopped safely at the other side of the road picking up
passengers, and there are so few cars on the road, why don't i just
make a dash across, and wala! we'll be at the other side of the road
in no time!"

and weili's nudge further "stimulated" all my muscles to step onto
the road whether looking at the oncoming traffic from behind me!! so
all along my back was facing the oncoming traffic.. and i don't know
why, it just didn't occur to me to look at whether there'll be any
cars coming from behind! really it didn't occur to me!! i also don't
know why. it's so bizarre. hahahah

but you know what? Jesus is so good to me! i kept telling weili,
"thank God i didn't get knocked down! thank GOD i didn't get knocked
down!!"

the angels must have stopped the taxi dead in its tracks so that it
won't hit me. weili said that the taxi was just inches away from me.
actually i feel really bad for making the taxi driver so frightened,
and as a matter of fact, the car driver in the car behind the taxi.
i bet he must have had a shock too. 'cos of the sudden emergency
break.

weili told me when the taxi drove away, the car behind it followed
to. and the window of the passenger's seat was open, and there was a
guy in there. and he just stared at us in shock. hahaha!
i'm so sorry for all the fright that i caused!! but i must say that
the taxi driver is really zai!! his emergency break is damn good
lah! and his reflexes too!! impressive impressive. especially since
you all know that taxi drivers drive really recklessly.
can you imagine if one fine day i happen to take his taxi?
hahahahahaha!

anyway after that while weili and i were at the canteen buying our
food, i kept saying the wrong things.. maybe it was the shock my
body was experiencing. hahahah! 'cos we were buying food, then i was
taking the utensils for the both of us. then i asked her, "do you
want spoon or fork?"

hahahah! actually i wanted to say, "do you want fork or
chopsticks?". hahahahah! poor body.

but really thank you Jesus for saving me =D 'cos a good friend of
mine was recently involved in a car accident. and it was at the same
place where i had mine.

this morning i was just thinking of all the horrible things that
could have happened to me if the angels didn't stop the taxi. i
pictured myself lying on the floor a distance away from the taxi.
and blood coming out of my head. you know like in the movies?
hahaha!

then i thought, stupid Devil, trying to scare me. then i asked him
to go away. hahaha! then i thought again, maybe it's good that i
have this thought too. 'cos it just makes me sure that Jesus is
protecting me from all the horrible things that could have happened.
from all the sadness that my family and friends will experience
(hopefully. hahaha!), from all the trouble that the parties involved
would have to go through. can you imagine the shock weili will be in
hahahaha! sorry girl! hahahaa

Jesus is the bestest! =D

and He really made me happy. hahaha! 'cos while we were carrying our
trays of food back to our table to eat, i met someone!
wahahahahhaha! Jesus is so cute lah. hahahahahha!
but anyway, i think everything happened too fast. so it seemed as
though this incident didn't happen at all. 'cos it happened too
fast. weili says so too. hahahaha! but it's good that i'm
journalling this down. so that in the future i can read through this
silly blog again and laugh at it. hahahaha! =D

two:

after having a nice lunch with weili, we had to part 'cos she had a
lecture at 2. then i made my way down to smu to meet hazel to repair
our laptops. finally managed to find time to repair it together.
hahahaha!

so i was quite worried that the computer people in smu won't help me
to repair. 'cos firstly i'm not a student of smu, but then my sister
was the one who bought the laptop from smu. secondly, i wasn't sure
if the laptop was still under warranty or not. yeah.. then while i
was waiting for hazel at kopitiam, i decided to give korkor and call
just to ask how would the procedure at the computer centre be like.
then he said that actually the computer people are quite unwilling
to help sometimes. so must really see how.

then i was quite dejected already. thought that aiya, they surely
won't help me one lor. (oh by the way,i wanted to change my hard
drive 'cos it wasn't working.. couldn't read pastor prince's cds,
and any cds for that matter. and i was thinking of reformatting my
computer too.)

so anyway, hazel came and we went to the computer centre. then 'cos
we had to sign in to wait for our turn (like queuing up).. but
because i didn't have a log in name ('cos i'm not a smu student), we
decided to just sign up using hazel's log-in, and when it's our
turn, we'll just bring both computers together.

so when it was finally our turn, we just brought both computers
together, and the guy was looking at them as we told him the
problems with it (hazel's problem was that her fan too noisy.)
then the person also confirmed that my hard drive is spoiled. then
he said that i needed to sign in too 'cos it's a hardware problem.
so i went to the computer and signed in using hazel's log in too.
then when the slip was printed out, the guy asked me how come it's
the same name as the previous one. then i explained to him that it's
actually my sister's computer, and that i was helping her to repair.
then he didn't say anything else.

so anyway he asked for my sister's log in and ic number and address.
but then i only knew that her log in was zhiyuan.lim, but i didn't
know the year. so i just left that blank. and i tried calling her to
get her ic number. but then she didn't pick up. so i asked korkor
for his ('cos they are twins so only the last digit and letter
differed). so in the end i only wrote 6 numbers and with the letter
missing. hahahah!

but he still helped us and passed our computers to the techncian.
the technician saw that my SHIFT key was missing. so he asked
whether i still had it, then i smiled sleepishly and said no.
hahaha! then he asked so do i have a problem with my fan being too
noisy. then i said that it was "ok lor." hahaha

so we had to come back an hour and a half later to collect our
laptops. so hazel went for her project meeting, and i went home, and
fell asleep while watching tv. hahaha! but i was almost expecting
the technician to call me and say that he cannot help me repair my
comp 'cos i'm not a student/the warranty is up. hahahaha! paranoid
jia.

anyway an hour and a half later, we went back to the computer centre
and collected our laptops. and you know what???!!! he gave me a new
SHIFT key!!! and the keyboard looked REAAALY clean and new, so hazel
and i speculated that he changed the whole keyboard for me. hahaha!
and my screen was super clean too. (the laptop was previously very
dusty and dirty.haahaha!). and he changed the D drive too so it's
working now. and he told me that he changed my fan for me too!!
hahahaha! praise God lah praise God. so much favour. and i didn't
even ask him to change my key and to change my fan. so happy lor.
hahahaha! but he did ask, "is one of you a ntu student? 'cos i saw a
ntu server in the computer."

then i said it was nus. and that the laptop is my sister's, but i
brought it to nus before to use. hahahah! and he just didn't
question further.

Jesus is so good!! =D so after i went home, i faster took out
allllll the pastor prince's cds that i had and uploaded them into my
ipod. hahaha! have been waiting for a long time to do that!! hahah!
i managed to upload quite alot of the messages, but still have a
stack left to upload. shall finish it tonight. hee. so happy happy
happy! =D

three:

ok since i'm on the topic of testimonies, here's one that happened
quite some time ago.. 'cos for my job, i have to make hotel
reservations for Credit Suisse clients (they are the really rich
ones.. hahaha! =D)

so i was suppose to make this reservation at this country lah. can't
remember where already. so the Relationship Manager (RM) was liaising
with us. she wanted to place reservation at this hotel. so i went
ahead and make the reservations with the World Wide Reservations
Desk. when i called the RM back to inform her of the rates and the
confirmation, she was like, "but these aren't the rates that you
guys quoted me in the email."

then when i went to check the email. indeed the rates were
different. my colleague quoted another rate.

so the RM wanted to book for another hotel 'cos the one that i booked at was too expensive.
so i called up the worldwide reservations desk again, and lo and behold! turns out that if i cancel the reservation, there'll be a cancellation charge! which was 1 night's room rate!! i got a shock!! 'cos i happily went ahead to secure the reservation with the client's credit card details without realising that the booking was for check-in on the next day. so i also overlooked the cancellation policy.

then the lady at the reservations desk was telling me that they cannot cancel without charging the cancellation charges to the client's card. 'cos once they cancel, the system will immediately charge to client's card. then i panicked!! 'cos there were 2 rooms that we secured..and each room was $400 plus? yeah, then i was like pleading with her to do something about it. 'cos i only JUST made the reservation. then she said really can, and asked me to call the hotel to see if they can make an exception.

so i called up the hotel. and THANK GOD. the staff said can cancel!!! 'cos according to their local time, i was still in time to cancel!! PRAISE JESUS lor!! can you imagine if they couldn't waive the cancellation charges? then i think i would have to absorb the cost!! which will be around $1000??? shocking!! hahahah jia lat lah.. then if i really had to pay that amount right, i think i cannot go vancouver already.. hahaha

but Jesus is really so good to me. even though the stupid devil tries to scare me suddenly, but Jesus is always there to save me out of my hopeless situations.

i love my Jeeeeesus! =D
